Tragedy as body of man, 31, found near burn in East Kilbride

The body of a man was found near a burn in East Kilbride early this morning.

Officers are currently investigating the scene on a pathway off Calderglen Road, near to St Leonards Square shops, where a cordon and police tent has been set up.

A police spokesman told the East Kilbride News the 31-year-old East Kilbride man was found deceased at 6.30am this morning.

He confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

The man's family have been informed.
