Tragedy as body found in search for missing Aberdeenshire woman

A body has been found during the search for a missing woman in Aberdeenshire, police have confirmed.

Megan Boyle disappeared from the Inverurie area yesterday.

The 57-year-old’s family have now been informed that a body has been found in searches for her.

A search was launched yesterday after Megan was reported missing from the Keithhall area near Inverurie.

Officers said concerns were beginning to grow for her welfare and urged anyone with information to get in contact.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Many shared their heartbreak at the news of a body being found on social media.

One said: "So sad, she was the most kind and lovely lady. She brightened up every morning for me. So sorry to her family and friends."

Another person wrote: "So very sad to read this. Thought with everyone especially Megan's family."
