No matter how well you plan for Christmas - most of us can't escape a flustered last-minute shopping spree.
Every year swarms of Christmas Eve shoppers - too late for next day delivery - flock to the city's best department stores to panic buy until the shops close.
But as with all Bank Holidays - opening hours are expected to change.
This year, go-to department stores and shopping centres like the Arndale and intu Trafford Centre will close hours earlier than usual on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve with later opening times for New Year's Day.
And for the bargain hunters ready to brace the crowds on Boxing Day - some Manchester stores will be open as early as 7am.
Whenever you plan to hit the shops over the Christmas holidays it's best to check the opening hours before you head out.
