Traffic warden covered in plaster after furious motorist throws it over her head

A traffic warden was left covered in plaster after a furious motorist threw the building material over her.

The female parking official was seen with the substance covering her hair and uniform.

The woman was assaulted after ticketing a driver who had parked incorrectly.

She was one of three wardens that had been attacked by drivers this week, according to Swindon Borough Council.

The authority shared the image online amid a plea with drivers to be more respectful.

A spokesperson added: "We’re sad to report that, this week, our parking wardens have been assaulted three times, one was even covered in plaster.

"We understand that you are using your cars more and need to find parking, but that's no excuse for dangerous parking or this kind of behaviour."

As more people return to the roads parking wardens are seeing an increase in poor driving.

During lockdown wardens also faced difficulties, with one authority running out of tickets due to an influx of visitors.
