Traffic was rerouted around the lower level of Michigan Avenue during the Monday rush after a semitrailer became stuck under a viaduct.

Police were dispatched about 6:35 a.m. for a semi jammed under a metal pillar along the 200 block of North Michigan Avenue and 100 block of East South Water, Chicago police said.

The driver was attempting to make a turn when the semi got stuck under the viaduct, police said.

Officers were on scene to reroute traffic while crews worked to remove the semi. No injuries were reported.

Buses #120 and #121 were rerouted via Lower Wacker Drive to bypass Lower Wacker Place due to the street blockage, according to the Chicago Transit Authority.
