A traffic pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended Sunday in a crash on Interstate 290 in University Village.

Officers saw the stolen vehicle, which was possibly wanted in connection to a homicide in Homan Square, and the driver refused to stop, Chicago police said. The vehicle crashed about 10:45 p.m. on the outbound ramp of I-290 at Racine Avenue.

Earlier in the day, a 37-year-old man was fatally shot in the 3300 block of West Harrison Street.

The male driver was transported to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said. He was taken into custody, and a weapon was recovered.

Charges are pending.
