Traffic police arrest tailgating driver speeding at 95mph on the M60

An "aggressive" Audi driver allegedly speeding at 95mph on the M60 on Saturday evening (October 16) has been stopped by police and arrested.

The suspect was reportedly driving dangerously at 25mph in excess of the national speed limit and also tailgating other drivers and lane-hogging the fast lane.

Greater Manchester Traffic Police caught up with the driver who was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) and will be fined and given points on their licence.

GMP Traffic tweeted at 9.49pm: "#XT11 stopped this vehicle on #M60 as it was lane hogging, travelling at 95mph and tailgating other vehicles who were using the network.

"Driver couldn’t account for their excessive speed and aggressive driving!

"Vehicle stopped and driver reported #fatal4."
