Traffic police arrest drink driver who had flat tyre

Greater Manchester Traffic Police have been gainfully employed dealing with some law breakers on the roads overnight.

They arrested a motorist who was driving with a flat tyre who then failed a roadside breathalyser test with a reading of 111.

He was arrested for drink driving.

GMP tweeted: "No prizes as to why #XT51 stopped this one on Nelson Street Bolton. The driver seemed unaware of his lack of tyre. Might be due to the reading of 111 he gave at the roadside!

"Arrested for drink driving"

In another incident officers caught up with a female motorist who jumped a red light and drove down a no entry road. When stopped they discovered she had 18 points on her licence and no insurance and no seatbelt.

GMP tweeted at 5.32am: "The driver of this Kia jumped a red light on Mossway, Ashton. No lights on, no seatbelt, & 18 points on her revoked licence, so no insurance. Went through a No Entry then tried to give false details."
