Traffic NI: Road closure in place after bus and car crash in Ballymena

A crash between a bus and a car in Ballymena has led to road closures and diversions this morning.

In a statement at 10am on Thursday, October 7, police confirmed the Cullybackey Road is closed in both directions following the two-vehicle road traffic collision.

Diversions are in place at the junction with the Woodstown Road and the junction with Inishowen Park, PSNI confirmed.

Officers are asking road users to seek alternate routes for their journeys while road closures and diversions remain in place.

A statement from NI Road Policing and Safety said: " Motorists are advised the Cullybackey Road in Ballymena is closed in both directions following a two vehicle road traffic collision, involving a bus and car, this morning (Thursday, October 7th).

"Diversions are in place at the junction with the Woodstown Road and the junction with Inishowen Park, please seek alternate routes for your journey."
