Traffic NI: Long delays as police attend scene of crash on A2 Belfast

Delays are ongoing on numerous roads in Belfast this morning.

Traffic is building following a crash on the A2, where police are currently at the scene.

The crash happened on Friday morning, October 15. It happened on the A2 Citybound at Tillysburn, close to Tesco on Knocknagoney Road.

Commenting on the situation at 8.15am, Trafficwatch NI said the crash is "passable with care - but going to causing some disruption for next hour while it is cleared up."

At 8.30am, Trafficwatch NI said there were delays back to The Esplanade in Holywood as a result of the A2 crash.

Police were at the scene of the crash just before 9am, with an image showing long queues of traffic building as a result.

In other Belfast traffic news, delays were being experienced into town at around 9am.

Traffic NI said the disruption was on the Andersonstown Road towards Kennedy Way, where contractors were white lining road markings.
