Traffic lights broken in Kilmarnock town centre causing rush hour chaos for commuters

Traffic lights at a busy junction in Kilmarnock town centre are broken, leaving drivers struggling to get through.

The lights near the town's one-way system and Iceland, which has exits from Sturrock Street, Queen's Drive and Armour Street, and also on to Fowlds Street are out.

Cars are struggling to get through, as cars from all directions are looking to get through at the one time.

An eyewitness said: "It's mental, especially at this time when people are trying to get to work.

"I don't know how long they have been like that, but hopefully they are fixed soon because that's one of the busiest junctions in the town."
