Traffic disruption due to major gas works in Nottinghamshire village

Temporary traffic signals have been installed on a road while gas works are underway.

A two way signals system has been introduced on West Leake Road, East Leake, on Monday (December 6) and is expected to last for a few days.

This is due to major gas works in the area which will affect traffic on the road.

Works will include tracing, then excavating to repair a gas escape and reinstating the street.

Normal traffic will be resumed on Friday (December 10), according to Rushcliffe District Council.
