Traffic delays on Kingsway in Didsbury after driver hits lamp post 'attempting to avoid a fox'

There are currently delays on Kingsway in Didsbury following a collision earlier this morning.

Police were called to the outbound A34, between the junction of Fairmile Drive and junction 3 for the M60, at around 5.20am.

GMP says a white Nissan Juke collided with a lamppost after attempting to avoid a fox.

There are not believed to be any major injuries.

The road was closed between 6am and 8am and has now reopened.

There is still queuing traffic in the area.
