A crash caused long delays on a key road in Whitefield.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the incident at around 6.45pm this evening.
Pictures show serious damage to two cars that appear to have collided around Blackford Bridge on Bury New Road.
The crash caused disruption for drivers and bus operator Go North West had to reroute services along Sunnybank Road, Parr Lane and Hollins Lane.
A spokesman for the fire service confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident but the road was shut for around half an hour.
It has now reopened and the damaged vehicles have been removed.
