Emergency services are on the scene of a crash in Canberra's city centre after a car left the road and crashed onto the footpath.
Police are diverting northbound traffic following the two-car crash at the corner of London Circuit and Northbourne Avenue just after 2pm.
Northbound traffic on Northbourne Avenue is being diverted onto London Circuit and police say there is major disruption in the area.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said the driver did not suffer serious injuries and was able to escape the car.
ACT Fire and Rescue and paramedics are on the scene.
Motorists should avoid the area.
