Emergency services have raced to a two-vehicle crash on the M8 in Glasgow and locked down part of the road sparking traffic chaos.
Police officers are currently at a road traffic collision near the Kingston Bridge at Junction 19 of the M8 after receiving a call at 4.05pm today.
It is currently not yet known if there are any injuries as a result of the crash.
Traffic Scotland tweeted warning road users of the accident and said traffic was heavy on approach with around a 15 minute wait time having closed lanes.
They have since been opened, although traffic in the area remains heavy.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'We were called at 4.05pm today to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the M8 Westbound at Junction 19.
"Emergency services are currently in attendance.
"We do not have any details of injuries at this time."
