Traffic chaos has started early on the M8 after a car crash sparked delays.
The busy motorway has been hit with road closures and diversions after the early morning smash at around 6.35am.
Drivers are stuck in long queues for around 30 minutes as a result of the accident which happened at junction 4A.
Cars are now being diverted off at Heartlands and back on at J4 Whitburn.
Traffic Scotland said: "The M8 remains closed on the eastbound at junction 4A due to a road traffic crash.
"Traffic is queuing back onto the M8 as a result and being diverted off at Heartlands and back on at J4 Whitburn.
"Delays approximately 30 minutes on the motorway."
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
