Traffic chaos on A92 as fire crews race to one-vehicle smash amid reports of 'flipped car'

There were huge tailbacks on the A92 this evening following a one-vehicle smash.

Fife Jammer Locations shared a snap of huge queues of traffic on the busy route at around 5pm.

Fire crews, police and paramedics raced to the scene, near Cupar, after the incident involving one vehicle.

According to reports on social media, the accident involved a car that had "flipped" onto its roof.

One said: "We passed just after it happened. Car on its roof and someone trapped."

Another motorist warned the road was partially blocked off with "multiple ambulances, police and fire engines".

However it's understood no one was injured in the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a one car collision at 4.35pm.

"We assisted with traffic management, there were no injuries. Ambulance and fire service attended."
