Traffic chaos in west end following car crash near Clyde Tunnel

Drivers are facing major delays in Glasgow's west end following a crash near the Clyde Tunnel.

Two vehicles reportedly collided at Victoria Park Gardens South at around 1.25pm this afternoon.

Emergency services are currently at the scene and there is heavy traffic in the area as a result of the incident.

This southside street is to be closed off tomorrow for Network Rail works

According to one eyewitness, there is currently no access to the Clyde Tunnel from the Victoria Park North/Crow Road junction and therefore drivers are advised to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "At 1.25pm police were called to a two-car road crash near Victoria Park Gardens south, emergency services are in attendance."
