Traffic chaos for Ed Sheeran fans with huge queues for shuttle buses and gridlocked roads to Roundhay Park

Fans stuck in traffic chaos on their way to Roundhay Park for the first of Ed Sheeran's two huge Leeds shows have reported 90 minute waits for shuttle buses and gridlocked roads.

Traffic in Leeds city centre began building around 3pm, with First Bus warning of service delays of up to 50 minutes.

One fan tweeted that she'd joined the shuttle bus queue at 4pm only to be still waiting at 5.35pm.

Another said a bus driver was so frustrated with the gridlocked traffic he allowed people onto the bus 'ticket or not'.

Ed Sheeran is due to take to the stage at 8.30pm after support acts Lewis Capaldi and The Darkness.

Shuttle buses are running from Leeds city centre to Roundhay Park for both nights of the gig.
