A major crash on the M74 near Uddingston is causing chaos for drivers this afternoon.
An overturned trailer is blocking three out of four lanes on the northbound route of the busy motorway in Uddingston, with police being called to the scene around 12.45pm.
Motorists are reporting huge delays as traffic is brought to a standstill while crews work to uplift the trailer.
Emergency services are on the scene, but there have been no reports of any injuries.
A driver caught up in the traffic said: "I've only moved about 100 yards in 20 minutes, it is at a standstill. I hope everyone is OK."
Traffic Scotland confirmed the incident between junction four and five just before 1pm this afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a one-vehicle collision involving a van and trailer on the M74 at Uddingston around 12.45pm on Wednesday, September 30.
"The lanes currently blocked as they wait to be uplifted.
"There are no reports of any injuries."
