Emergency services have rushed to attend a lorry on fire on a busy Glasgow motorway at rush hour.

The M73 is currently closed in both directions at Gartcosh after junction 2a to junction 2 at Baillieston.

" Police are at the scene and the road is closed northbound from junction 2 Baillieston interchange and southbound from junction 2a at Gartcosh."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told the Record: "This is an ongoing incident.
