A crash has forced emergency services to shut down a busy Scots road.
The A6091 has been closed off in both directions near Melrose following an accident.
Mercy crews are on the scene after the smash happened at around 9.48am this morning.
Now drivers are being warned delays are expected as the road will be shut off for 'some time'.
Diversions have been put in place as a result of the smash.
Traffic Scotland said: "The A6091 is closed in both directions near Melrose due to a road traffic crash.
"The road is closed near to Borders General Hospital, Melrose, due to a road traffic collision, road users are advised to use the available signed diversion route.
"Emergency services on scene.
"The road is likely to remain closed for some time.
"Motorists should expect longer than normal journey times."
