Traffic backed up on M6 as ambulance called to two car crash

Traffic on the M6 is queuing for miles as emergency services respond to a two car crash.

Emergency services rushed to junction 21A of the M6 at Warrington at 3.40pm on Wednesday, November 24 after reports of a two car crash.

Once at the scene, highways officers found an Audi and a Toyota Auris had crashed on the northbound carriageway.

North West Ambulance Service is also in attendance and said one passenger has minor injuries.

It's unclear if they have been taken to hospital.

Two lanes of the M6 are currently closed whist emergency services and recovery deal with the crash.

According to National Highways there are currently delays back to J19.

A spokesperson said: "The M6 northbound within J21 in Cheshire has two lanes closed due to a road traffic collision. There are currently delays back to J19. North West Motorway Police are making their way to scene."
