Traffic at 'standstill' as three car crash closes Queens Drive

A three car crash on Queen's Drive has sparked a large emergency service response.

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on Queens Drive, Walton, at around 6.55pm on Monday, August 9.

Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service were called to the crash, which was between a Toyota Aygo, Ford Focus and a Nissan.

Arriving at the scene, police closed the road southbound from A580 Walton Hall Avenue to Lilly Grove.

One passer-by, who asked not to be named said: "Serious crash on Queens Drive between Rice Lane and Walton Hall Avenue, all three emergency services attended."

Another witness said all traffic was 'at a standstill' and encouraged others to avoid the road 'at all costs'.

AA sensors are reporting 'slow traffic' in the area.

It is not known if anybody was injured in the crash.
