Trading Stefon Diggs listed as Vikings’ best offseason move

Minnesota dealt its leading receiver from 2019, Stefon Diggs, this offseason.

Despite the loss of production, it’s not all bad: the Vikings received a first-round pick, fifth-round pick, sixth-round pick and a 2021 fourth-round pick from Buffalo for Diggs and a seventh-rounder.

Also the team still has Adam Thielen, and it drafted wideout Justin Jefferson with one of the picks from the Bills.

Bleacher Report is a fan of the decision. The outlet listed the Vikings trading Diggs as the smartest decision the team made this offseason. Here’s what the outlet said about the trade:

“While adding Stefon Diggs was a great move for the Bills, getting rid of him was a savvy one for the Vikings. While he is a fantastic receiver, he is also set to carry a cap hit of just under $11 million in 2020. That wouldn’t be a big deal for most franchises, but it would have been tough to swallow for the Vikings.”

Overall, if Jefferson performs and Thielen has a comeback year, the Vikings will have made a good decision.
