A trader has put up a 'cherished' number plate for sale - without saying it used to belong to Jimmy Savile.
Paedophile DJ Jimmy Savile was seen in pictures with his Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible, along with his personalised 'JS 247' licence plate, before he died in 2011.
The number '247', after his abbreviated initials, relates to BBC Radio 1's original medium wave frequency.
It's been listed in an advert inside a Sunday newspaper for £25,000, Sun Online reports.
The anonymous trader described the number plate as a 'Cherished Plate for Christmas', but it didn't mention any link with Savile.
In 2012, a scrap dealer paid £160,000 for the DJ's Rolls Royce - which Savile nicknamed 'The Beast' - at a charity auction before the sex abuse allegations against the TV star surfaced.
The owner had hoped to hire out the 10-year-old silver Corniche convertible for weddings and children's parties.
He spent £8,000 to repair the brakes and service the luxury car in a bid to sell it for £70,000.
He immediately disowned the car after the child abuse scandal.
The man, from Poole in Dorset, told Sky News: "I don't want to be associated with it.
"I'm just gutted because all of this should have come out beforehand.
"I've never even driven it."
Experts within the car industry said number plates containing two letters are normally attractive to collectors.
However, with it being tied to Savile is now 'worthless'.
