Everyone was talking about Callum Hudson-Odoi pre-match as he landed his first Premier League start but it was Olivier Giroud who was trending by half-time.
Hudson-Odoi even came up with the excellent assist as he skipped past one defender and whipped a lovely ball in along the floor but Giroud’s finish was something to behold.
Giroud divides opinion among Chelsea fans quite a bit but this was one of those moments when everyone just appreciates his quality.

The Frenchman had no right to even hit the target from the tight angle but came up with a beautiful flick of the left boot to find the net.
As many fans commented on the back of the goal, only Giroud comes up with those types of ridiculous finishes and misses some easier chances. As supporters said during the game, it was ‘Peak Giroud’ as the reaction below highlights.
