The Kansas City Chiefs have wrapped up the 2023 NFL draft.
They selected a total of seven players, but the festivities aren’t quite over yet. The team will continue to add undrafted free agents to fill out their 90-man roster. They’ll need to add just 18 players in order to completely fill the offseason roster, but they could also release some players in order to make room for undrafted players. They’ll also invite a number of players to try out at their rookie minicamp which will take place either the first or second weekend following the draft.
The Chiefs have found some gems in undrafted free agency in the past. Tommy Townsend is probably the most notable right now. Tershawn Wharton, Shane Buechele, Jody Fortson and Jack Cochrane also deserve mention.
We’ll do our best to differentiate between undrafted free agent signings and rookie minicamp tryout invites. The Chiefs will ultimately announce the official batch of UDFA signings at a later date, but we’ll track all of Kansas City’s signings and list them here.
