Trabzonspor want to end West Brom nightmare for ex-Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke

Former Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke could be given a route out of his West Brom nightmare by Trabzonspor as the winger continues to attract interest from England and abroad.

The newly-promoted Baggies are prepared to let Burke leave this summer and the Scottish wideman has no shortage of potential suitors.

But according to reports in Turkey, Trabzonspor boss Eddie Newton is keen on adding the winger to his squad having just been appointed manager.

Burke has suffered a tough time at the Baggies which has seen him loaned out to Celtic and Alaves in recent seasons, but the Turkish side are now said to be "investigating the conditions" that could see him join the club with sources suggesting it could be another loan move.

The 23-year-old still has another two years left to run on his current deal at West Brom having signed a five-year contract in 2017 when the Baggies paid a reported £15m for his services.

But he has struggled to make any kind of impression at the Hawthorns and has made just 20 league appearances for the club.

Last season he was sent on a season-long loan to Alaves where he made 32 appearances.

Recently he set tongues wagging at the City Ground by posting a picture of him alongside his former Reds team-mate Matty Cash.

But a move back to Forest, who sold him to RB Leipzig,  would appear unlikely.
