TQM Insurance Broker, a telesales-focused insurance seller, and Total Access Communication (DTAC) have joined hands to launch "The Gift of Happiness" campaign to expand their customer base through purchase privileges of insurance options and SIM cards.
Under the campaign, DTAC members will receive a special package: Blue members will get free third-party car insurance, with up to 50 privileges per month; Gold members will receive free third-party car insurance when they purchase a car insurance rate worth over 10,000 baht with TQM.
Silver members will receive a code worth 323 baht used to purchase third-party car insurance when they buy car insurance from TQM worth over 10,000 baht.
Unchalin Punnipa, president of TQM Insurance Broker, said the company's customer base numbers 2 million and it expects the campaign with DTAC to increase it.
TQM expects sales revenue from its insurance business will increase this year because of continued promotion of its new healthcare insurance alongside its core car insurance, said Mr Unchalin, without providing details on expected revenue.
The company still maintains its plan to list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand by the second quarter of 2018, he said.
TQM is considering market timing as its financial adviser will file the listing documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission by next year's second quarter, said Mr Unchalin.
DTAC senior vice-president Prissana Ratanasuwanasri said the company aims to provide greater travel convenience through online channels for DTAC customers by offering a "GO Inter SIM" that covers 23 countries. The SIM costs 399 baht for customers who buy travel insurance from TQM.
DTAC customers will also receive accident insurance worth 100,000 baht for a period of three months for free when they buy a Nikom Mongkol SIM card with DTAC, said Ms Prissana.
TQM customers will receive a new mobile phone number for monthly paid members. They will also get a monthly package discount of 50% with free high-speed internet offering three gigabytes per month for three months, she said.
Ms Prissana said DTAC has 23 million phone numbers and targets 13 million new numbers joining the promotion.
"We hope to expand our customer base, but it is difficult to estimate how many new customers will join," she said.
