Smaller engine helps bring down prices of dressed-up pickup; T-Connect telematics available for the first time in 2.8-litre model.

Toyota Motor Thailand has expanded the Hilux Revo Rocco lineup with a new engine option.
Previously available only with 177hp 2.8-litre diesel-turbo, the Rocco can now be had with 150hp 2.4-litre variation for buyers prioritising looks over driving performance.
More crucial are the lower price points helping boost the Rocco’s affordability.
When equipped with six-speed manual gearbox, the single-cab goes for 838,000 baht and double-cab at 949,000. The six-speed automatic costs an extra 50,000 baht in both models.
Other dressed-up pickups competing with the Rocco are Chevrolet Colorado High Country, Ford Ranger Wildtrak, Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, Mitsubishi Triton Athlete and Nissan Navara NP300 Sportech.
Meanwhile, Toyota has brought its T-Connect telematics to the Revo for the first time. It’s available only in the 2.8G and Rocco 2.8 priced from 1.083-1.203 million baht depending on body type and transmission.
