Toy Story performed with live orchestra coming to Scotland for first time next year

Toy Story is set to be performed in Scotland for the first time next year with a live orchestra.

Showing in Glasgow and Edinburgh, the Disney and Pixar classic will be screened with the famous soundtrack played live along to the movie.

Packed full of incredible songs, the heartwarming story of toys coming alive when no one is around will be brought to life with the live orchestra playing Randy Newman's musical score.

From 'You’ve Got a Friend in Me' to 'Strange Things' and 'I Will Go Sailing No More', the Toy Story in Concert will showcase the film alongside these wonderful songs performed by the Novello Orchestra.

The promoters said: “The Toy Story films are beloved worldwide for their compelling characters, extraordinary storytelling, stunning visuals and the music of Randy Newman.

"The composer and songwriter is behind signature songs including You’ve Got a Friend in Me, Strange Things and I Will Go Sailing No More.

"Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story in Concert is presented by Senbla, and performed by the Novello Orchestra conducted by David Mahoney."

Toy Story fans can get their hands on tickets this week, with the 2022 tour coming to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on February 15 and The Usher Hall in Edinburgh on February 16.

Tickets will be on sale here.
