Toy Story live in concert coming to two venues in Scotland as part of UK tour

Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story is set for an exciting live tour in 2022 - and there will be two stops in Scotland.

The concert, which is a first of its kind for the UK, is a groundbreaking presentation of the film accompanied by a live orchestra, and is set to delight fans of the movie franchise, both young and old.

The nationwide tour will visit nine venues, including Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall and Edinburgh's Usher Hall, when it heads around the UK in February next year.

Tickets for the shows will go on general sale this Friday, May 14 - you can buy them here on Ticketmaster.

Toy Story in Concert will feature a screening of the complete film with Oscar and Grammy-winning composer Randy Newman’s musical score performed live to the film.

The Toy Story films are beloved worldwide for their compelling characters, extraordinary storytelling, stunning visuals and the music of Randy Newman - the composer and songwriter behind signature songs including You’ve Got a Friend in Me, Strange Things and I Will Go Sailing No More.

Loved by generations, Toy Story answers the question of what toys do when people aren't around with a fantastic fun-filled journey, viewed mostly through the eyes of two rival toys – Woody, the lanky, likable cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear, the fearless space ranger.

Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story in Concert is presented by Senbla, and performed by the Novello Orchestra conducted by David Mahoney.

It will stop off in Glasgow on February 15, 2022, and in Edinburgh on February 16.

Pre-sale tickets from disneytickets.co.uk will be available from 10am on Wednesday, May 12, with general sale from 10am on Friday, May 14. Prices start from £29.50.
