A town is switching on its Christmas lights in a bid to lift the mood of residents during lockdown.
Officials in Tankerton, Kent, agreed to bring back the festive light after locals voted in favour of it.
Hundreds have supported the move and donated cash to fund it.
The campaign was spearheaded by a group of local businesses called Talk of Tankerton.
The group organises the town’s annual Christmas festive lighting.

Co-founder Julie Corke said: "Our Christmas lights were so well-received over Christmas.
"But going into a lockdown straight after Christmas and New Year, it just seemed having to turn the lights off was going to be too dull and too dark for everyone.
"Everyone needs a bit of light and sparkle through lockdown to make them smile.
"We switched them off, then among ourselves discussed turning them back on."

The group raised over £1,200, which was way over the target of £300 and now plans to use the extra money towards this December's festive lights.
The lights, which were turned off last month, are on again to bring festive cheer as heavy snow transformed the town into a winter wonderland.
The nationwide lockdown will last until at least March 8 when some schools are expected to reopen.
