An application has been submitted to transform a town centre building to apartments.
Proposals for Rexmore House, on Cotham Street in St Helens town centre have been submitted by applicant Hope Street Properties Limited. They seek prior approval for a change of use from commercial units to 11 one-bedroom residential apartments.
The application form states: "The site has a town centre location and very good links to local transport systems.

"A secure cycle storage area has been included within the proposals for use by the tenants. A car park is located adjacent to the property".
It adds: "The commercial premises will be converted into accommodation and will therefore not affect the new properties.
"There are no other noise-producing commercial premises within the vicinity of the development."
The application is on standard consultation to the public until Tuesday, May 2.
A decision is expected to be made on the plans by May 31.
