Police were called to a town centre bar over reports of a man threatening staff.
Officers attended a bar in the centre of Southport at around 1.55am on Sunday, August 21, after reports of a man who was said to be armed with a gun making threats to staff at the bar. Police attended and spoke to staff at the venue.
There was no trace of any weapons used at the bar and no one was injured during the incident. Police are now appealing for information.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "At around 1.55am on Sunday 21 August officers were called to West Street in Southport following reports of a man armed with a gun making threats to staff at a bar in the area.
"Police attended and spoke with staff at the premises.
"There was no trace of any weapons used and no one was injured during the incident.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information is asked to contact police with log 097 of 21/08/2022
