TOWIE star Mark Wright to turn on Cabot Circus Christmas lights

Cabot Circus bosses are promising a Christmas Lights switch-on event ‘like never before’ next month.

The city centre shopping mall is organising an evening of entertainments, with the big switch-on being undertaken by former TOWIE star and Heart FM DJ Mark Wright.

The switch-on event begins with what Cabot Circus are describing as a ‘magical light show with LED dance performers filling the streets’.

They will form a procession through Quakers Friars into Cabot Circus to take centre stage.

“Cabot Circus will come to life with illuminated dancers and UV water drummers on the main stage outside House of Fraser, while LED lights illuminate the shopping centre with the beats of the music.”

The event is taking place at 5.30pm on Friday, November 8, and on the Saturday, the centre’s Christmas Grotto will open.

The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright is hosting the event by DJing to warm up the crowds, before leading the final countdown.

“We’re excited to be launching the start of the Christmas season at Cabot Circus on Friday 8th November with Mark Wright and a spectacular light show,” said Andrew Gibbens, the general manager at Cabot Circus.

“We cannot wait for the Bristol community to come together to kick start the festive season.

“We are also bringing a new grotto to the city centre which will be a magical winter wonderland experience, with a chance to meet Santa and his elves.

“There is even an opportunity to make reindeer food ready to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve,” he added.

The Christmas Grotto will be running from 9th November – 24th December and tickets can be booked through the website www.cabotcircus.com

The Christmas light switch-on at Cabot Circus is free to attend and festivities will start at 5.30pm before the grand light switch-on takes place from 6.00pm—6.20pm.
