Elliott Wright has announced his wife, Sadie is pregnant with their second child and admitted it feels like good news being sent from heaven after a distressing year.
The 40-year-old reality star has had a tumultuous time of late – with his restaurant business in Spain burning to the ground at the hands of suspected arsonists in April.
He also suffered heartbreak in March when his father, Edward, died following an eight-week battle with Covid-19.
Elliott and his 29-year-old model wife, Sadie – who have been married since 2017 – are now feeling positive and blessed as they prepare to welcome their second child together.
Former Towie star Elliott shared his happy news with OK! Magazine – saying the arrival of a new child is something to look forward too following months of upsetting personal news.
He said: ”I've probably had the worst year of my life and probably the worst I'm ever going to have.
"At the start of this year I unfortunately lost my father, and then my restaurant burned down 11 days after I buried my dad."
He went on to suggest that their new baby could have been sent from his father.
Elliott said: “I’ve always been a positive person and I'm trying to look at the positives.
"I said to Sadie: 'My dad sent us an angel', we're taking the positives out of that."
However, Elliott says the news is tinged with sadness.
He explained: “This is the first grandchild that's not going to have met my dad and that's an upsetting thing for me."
Edward passed away on March 2nd after battling Covid, and was buried at a private family ceremony later that month.
Paying tribute to his father following his death, Elliott wrote on Instagram : “You are and will always be my rock, my best friend, the man who taught me to always be a gentleman, to put family first!
“Everything I know and have whether it be in business or personal is down to you an your guidance, my whole life, from a young age, I watched in ore of you, a mountain amongst men...
"Doing deals, the king negotiator, with you by my side I could take on the world and still will do, as I know your love, affection and soul will always be by my side.”
Meanwhile, Elliott’s restaurant business in Marbella, Spain, burned down in April – with police investigating the blaze as a potential arson.
Elliott and Sadie welcomed their first child, a son named William, in January 2019 – while the TV star has two other children, Elliott Jr., 13, and 11-year-old Olivia, from a past relationship.
