TOWIE star Diags' brother in 8-hour hospital op to save life after brain aneurysm

TOWIE star Diags has thanked hospital staff for saving his younger brother's life when he was rushed in with a brain aneurysm.

Diags - real name James Bennewith, 29 - paid tribute after brother Jack was given eight hours of life-saving surgery after two bleeds on his brain.

Sharing a series of throwback snaps of them together, a clearly emotional Diags wrote: "[Love] my brother.

"He's coming back home, after suffering a brain aneurysm and two bleeds on the brain.. then having to have a brain operation for 8 and a half hours, all by himself as covid means you can't even visit the ward!

"He's finally coming home so here’s to the strongest geezer I know my brother @jackbennewith1."

The reality star went on: "Thank you to everyone at Addenbrookes Hospital for saving my brother and thank you to @georgina_kellyx for taking him to hospital that day!"

He then urged fans: "If you ever feel unwell or being sick, headaches, stiff neck please go get checked out because you never know what it might be."

A brain aneurysm happens when a blood vessel inside the brain bulges or swells - and can lead to death if it bursts.

Symptoms include unusual headaches or changes to the vision, and are more likely to occur in people who smoke or have high blood pressure.

Diags' famous friends were quick to offer their support, with James 'Arg' Argent writing: "We love you jack."

TOWIE co-star Gatsby commented "my boys", while Scott Thomas shared a praying hands and red heart emoji.

"Wish him a speedy recovery mate," added Mario Falcone.

"Glad he’s okay Diags!!!" said Demi Sims.
