Yazmin Oukhellou has revealed she has been sleeping next to her mum Lisa every night as she has been struggling with nightmares after surviving a car crash that killed her 33-year-old boyfriend Jake McLean.

The TOWIE star, 28, was a passenger in the car which plunged 70ft off a cliff in Bodrum, Turkey, just over two weeks ago.

Now at home recovering in Essex, Oukhellou - who had to break her own arm in order to get out of the wreckage - has given her first interview and she said been experiencing flashbacks from the horrific ordeal.

“I have nightmares every single night since the accident,” she told The Sun. “I have not stopped waking up in the night about it. Mum stays in bed with me every night.”

The TV star was told by doctors who treated her that it was a “miracle” that she survived and she admitted it has made her “look at life totally differently”.

“I severed an artery and a nerve, that’s why I bled so much,” she said. “Now I’m just wondering how the hell did my partner die while I’ve survived? It’s made me look at life totally differently.”

In addition to therapy, the reality star may also need plastic surgery as she has been left with “permanent scarring”.

UK doctors warned she may never regain the full use of her right arm.

As part of her on-going recovery, Oukhellou has vowed to avoid “social settings” for now, she has changed her phone number and will not be logging on to social media.
