TOWIE's Tommy and Georgia call off wedding in wake of miscarriage heartbreak

The Only Way Is Essex's Georgia Kousoulou and her fiancé Tommy Mallet have called off their wedding after their heartbreaking miscarriage.

Last month, the TV personality revealed she suffered a miscarriage and needed an operation after the 12-week scan revealed her and fiancé Tommy Mallet's unborn baby had not survived.

She wrote: "Our 12 week scan to be told our baby had not survived & I needed an op…

"12 weeks of feeling every emotion , hoping & praying but in the end , nothing else we could of done."

In order to mourn the loss of their baby, the couple revealed they have decided to put their wedding plans on hold.

The couple will discuss their decision on their Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps series.

Their ITVBe series, as revealed by The Sun, will show them opening up about the miscarriage as well as give fans a behind-the-scenes look at their family.

Following the miscarriage, Georgia released a statement announcing the devastating news.

After explaining that she needed an operation, she said: "We don’t really have the words to say right now except we are lucky to have amazing family & friends around us .. & most importantly we are blessed to have our beautiful brody who we couldn’t of got through this without him.

"We will have the words soon but right now we are taking time for us as a family."

Alongside the statement, Georgia shared a black-and-white picture of her legs, as she lay in a hospital bed.

Georgia and her partner Tommy are parents to tot Brody, one.

Earlier this month, Georgia returned to social media to thank fans for their unwavering support.

"Firstly I Just want to say thank you to you all," she said. "Your messages they have really helped me get through the last few weeks.. I’m also so sorry so many of you have gone through this unbearable pain."

"As Tommy said we was filming series 4 of our show when everything happened & we decided to carry on filming," Georgia continued.

"I think it’s important to show the good & the bad .. it has been hard to film at times & bits will be hard to watch but it has also made me talk out loud which I think really helps.. there’s often silence over a loss of a baby because a lot of people don’t know what to say or how to say it but for me ..

"I have wanted & needed to talk about my [angel emoji] because for me I wanted to acknowledge the love & excitement I felt.. in our case it was a rare thing that happened which I explain on the show but I’m really hoping this helps anyone who has gone through this because you are not alone & certainly not just a statistic.

"Thank you for helping me ..I really hope I can help you too! Thank you to my amazing family & friends .. I’m very great full & blessed to have you all."

Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps airs Thursdays at 9pm on ITVBE and ITVX.
