Towie's Shelby Tribble says 'karma is wonderful' as ten 10 co-stars are axed

Towie star Shelby Tribble has appeared to have added to fuel to the already burning fire after ten of her co-stars were axed from the iconic reality TV show.

The 28-year-old took a savage swipe at her former cast members when she claimed that ‘karma’ had come back and smacked them after they were dumped from the ITVBe series.

“Karma really is a wonderful thing,” the outspoken star tweeted alongside a laughter emoji.

Shelby, who left the show in 2019, has made some rather controversial comments about her Towie cast members after bidding goodbye to them.

Last year, she branded the majority of Towie stars as ‘fake’ and insisted that she was ‘so glad’ to no longer be part of it.

It comes after ITV bosses rooted out ten stars from the show in its biggest shakeup yet after over a decade on screens.

TV insiders told the Sun that the brutal axing came after producers realised the reality show needs to ‘go back to basics’ and focus on a core group of main cast members.

It has not been confirmed which fan favourites will remain on the show and who will be leaving, with more announcements to be made in due course.

In statements released on the programme’s official social media pages, the show wrote: “After more than 10 fabulous years following the lives of our ever-growing cast, TOWIE will be evolving with some changes.

“As it looks ahead to future series, the next instalment of our BAFTA award winning show returns to Essex to follow a smaller group of cast members.”

“This change allows our cast more time to film their real lives, showing more of their personal passions and professions, alongside their strong bonds and dynamics with family and friends,” the team continued.

“Those who won’t appear regularly on-screen next series will always be part of the TOWIE family and we wholeheartedly thank them for sharing their lives with us in recent years.

Among those thought to have escaped the axe include Chloe Sims (@chloe_simsstarship)

“As always, their wellbeing is of paramount importance to us and we will continue to offer welfare support if needed to all past and present TOWIE cast,” they concluded. “We ask and urge all our viewers to think before commenting below, and remember that #ThesePeopleAreAllReal.”

Among those thought to have escaped the axe include Chloe Sims along with her sisters Demi and Frankie, as well as Gatsby, who has been on the show since 2015.

The Only Way Is Essex will return later this year on ITVBe.
