The Only Way Is Essex's Sam Mucklow decided to announce he was set to tie the knot with Shelby Tribble as his ex Nicole Bass celebrated her 28th birthday.
Ex On The Beach star Nicole, who split from the TOWIE hunk in September last year, seemed unfazed by her former flame popping the question to his new sweetheart as she partied the night away at Bagatelle restaurant in Mayfair on Saturday night.
Joining the birthday girl - who officially turns a year older on Sunday - were host of reality TV stars including TOWIE's Bobby Norris and Love Island's Gabby Allen .
Appearing to not have a care in the world, as she documented her night on Instagram , the brunette bombshell let loose with her pals as they danced following their meal.
Last year, Sam shared that he and Nicole went their separate ways as a they "wanted different things."
The reality TV star announced the end of their six-month relationship when responding on social media o followers who quizzed him if he was single.
He wrote: "I keep getting asked this question.
"And yes very sad to say but we have decided to go our separate ways as we both want different things."
At the time he refused to rule out reconciliation, however, as he added: "But you never know what the future holds always stay open-minded."
Now he plans make Shelby his wife.
Sam shared his intentions when he asked his legion of admirers and TOWIE friends who was going to be coming to the wedding.
Alongside the cheeky comment, the TOWIE star posted a picture where he planted a kiss on Shelby's lips.
He wrote: "Who’s coming to the wedding then?"
Shelby has yet to break her silence on the engagement.
The Mirror have approached Shelby Tribble's representatives for further comment.
The union seems to have been on the cards for awhile for Sam and Shelby.
Sam has hinted he could see a future with Shelby as he said he was ready to "wind down", live with her and have kids.
He told Metro : “I’m 27 now, Shelby’s 27 and I want to wind down and calm down. I want to live with her.
“I want to have kids soon and I see that with Shelby. She’ll be such a good mum. She’s great with my nephews, you should see her with them.
"We've spent the whole summer together in Spain, she’s been with my family and my sisters and everyone just loves her."
Shelby echoed her love's sentiments when she freely expressed her interest in starting a family and getting married to Sam.
She said: "For me personally we think about having babies, marriage. He’s got so many qualities that I love in a man and I know that he will make a great partner and dad because of how he is with me. "
The couples relationship has taken a complete U-turn after scenes were aired on TOWIE showing the pair embroiled in a furious row in Thailand.
Their spat led to the former promotional model throwing a drink at the hunk.
In retaliation the livid star called his now fiancée “a slag”.
However, in months that followed, the couple found themselves back in each other's arms.
