TOWIE's Georgia Kousoulou shares 'unbearable pain' after suffering miscarriage

Georgia Kousoulou opened up about her "unbearable pain" after suffering a tragic miscarriage.

Last month, the 31-year-old TOWIE star took to Instagram to release a statement explaining that she needed an operation after her 12-week scan revealed her and fiancé Tommy Mallet's unborn baby had not survived.

Along with the statement, Georgia shared a black-and-white picture of her legs, as she lay in a hospital bed.

Georgia and her partner Tommy are parents to tot Brody, one.

After several weeks, Georgia returned to social media to open up about the miscarriage and thanked fans for their unwavering support in her time of need.

"Firstly I Just want to say thank you to you all," she said. "Your messages they have really helped me get through the last few weeks.. I’m also so sorry so many of you have gone through this unbearable pain."

"As Tommy said we was filming series 4 of our show when everything happened & we decided to carry on filming," Georgia continued.

"I think it’s important to show the good & the bad .. it has been hard to film at times & bits will be hard to watch but it has also made me talk out loud which I think really helps.. there’s often silence over a loss of a baby because a lot of people don’t know what to say or how to say it but for me ..

"I have wanted & needed to talk about my [angel emoji] because for me I wanted to acknowledge the love & excitement I felt.. in our case it was a rare thing that happened which I explain on the show but I’m really hoping this helps anyone who has gone through this because you are not alone & certainly not just a statistic.

Following the tragic loss, reality star Tommy has told fans that the couple have returned to work as they finish filming their ITVBe spin-off show, Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps.

Addressing the miscarriage for the first time last month, Tommy shared a picture of him with Georgia and Brody behind the camera on his Instagram.

"And just like that life changes", wrote Tommy.

"It’s been a rough few days for my family but as always we keep it moving.

"Georgia is on the mend and it’s mine and Brody's mission to build her back up.

"We were documenting the pregnancy for our show and found out the bad news whilst filming, and as a family, we’ve always said we need to keep it real no matter what, so we are going to finish the show-off and hopefully help some people along the way!

"I’m so proud of Georgia. Thank you for the messages we really appreciate it."
