TOWIE’s Georgia Kousoulou forced to call 111 after baby Brody suffers health scare

Former TOWIE star Georgia Kousoulou was forced to dial the NHS helpline 111 after her baby Brody suffered a terrifying health scare.

The 31-year-old reality TV star said she felt “useless” and called for help after her son’s temperature was “higher than it had [ever] been”.

“Very tired today,” Georgina – who shares baby Brody with her fiancé and fellow TOWIE co-star Tommy Mallett – told her Instagram followers.

“Being a mumma when your baby isn’t well has to be one of the hardest things ... you just feel useless and it’s so hard to watch them in pain.

“It’s also so hard to know the right thing to do .. so last night we called 111 for advice as Brody’s temp was higher than it had been ... thankfully they said he was ok, and said he was ok at home.

“Calpol is our best friend right now (as you can see from his vest) so lots of rest & cuddles today!!

“Mummas, we are amazing, we really are but don’t be afraid to ask for help and advice … we are human and don’t be scared to ring 111 if you think your baby’s temp is high.

“It’s better to be safe! You are not wasting their time.”

One friend quickly replied to the post, she said: “Oh @georgiakousoulou this sounds super scary.

“Sending you lots of love and get well soon wishes. Thank you for sharing for awareness. You’re a hero.”

Another added: “I so agree. It’s such a hard job as it is, when they’re unwell, it’s even harder.

“If only we could take it away for them. I hope Brody gets better soon.”

One fan said: “Aww it is so hard and scary when they are ill isn’t it. Well done for calling 111 to get advice. I hope Brody is better very soon.”

Another offered up some advice, they said: “Neurofen brings the temperature down way quicker and better than calpol I find! If he’s struggling it might help.”

The ordeal comes after The Only Way is Essex star hit out at new mums who quickly bounce back into shape after giving birth.

New mum Georgia shot to fame after joining the cast of the phenomenally popular reality series in 2014.

Since then, she's gone on to release her own swimwear range and fronts her own spin-off show with fiancé Tommy Mallet, Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps.

Speaking to OK!, the reality star confessed she felt "shocked" after leaving hospital with her pregnancy belly still in tact before being told not to worry and that she'd "snap back".

Georgia utilised her massive social media presence to share honest and inspirational photos of her body.

She said: "When I came out of hospital I still had a pregnant belly and that shocked me, because everyone said, ‘Oh you’ll snap back'. I didn’t snap back at all – I had a full-on belly and I was so swollen.

"Then I decided to do a post with my belly out in just my bra and knickers.

“I was so nervous I texted Tommy asking if I should post it, and he said 'just do it', so I did, and it helped me and so many other mums.

“I mean, who else is doing that on Instagram? No-one. I am so sick of seeing girls with six packs straight after birth. It’s not realistic and I don’t want to see it.

“Going to the gym isn’t my priority. I’ve raised a child for a year, let’s celebrate that.

“My whole body changed – I’ve got my C-section scar and stretch marks – but I have grown a human so you’ve got to give yourself some slack. We’re just surviving, let’s be real.”

The Essex star's honesty and genuine insight into motherhood has proved popular among her following, with her original Instagram post showcasing her body eight weeks after giving birth racking up almost half a million likes and heaps of comments.

Many new parents thanked her for the post, with some revealing it made them feel better.
