TOWIE stars have paid tribute after the tragic death of Harry Derbidge's ex-boyfriend Rhys Alan Smith.
Rhys, who has recently been the subject of a storyline between Harry and Bobby Norris on the ITVBe reality show, was found dead in Tenerife, where he lived, last week.
Gemma Collins, who was one of many TOWIE stars to strike up a close relationship with Rhys over the years, paid tribute to him on Instagram.
She commented on the last picture he had posted: "My heart will never be the same I won’t ever be the same love you Reece"
Gemma's ex James 'Arg' Argent, penned: "Love you mate".
Harry and Rhys were together in 2013 before the make up artist started dating Bobby.
Harry, who is now engaged to beau Dean Rowland, later admitted he had cheated on Bobby at the beginning of their romance with Rhys.
Recently, they came face to face on screen once more, with Bobby demanding answers about what happened back then, only for the pair to be caught in a bitter row in a restaurant.
While Rhys wasn't named during the conversation, he had been referred to on numerous occasions and big fans of the show will know who he is.
Following their recent showdown on the reality programme, Bobby announced he was quitting the show.
He posted online: "I am VERY sad and surprised that after 10 years the few cast members that have been around nearly as long as me have a problem in speaking up and telling the TRUTH and helping to have my back (which is a shame as I like to think that I have defended every single one of them in their various break ups and fall outs..)
"Well, NO MORE!! People’s true colours have well and truly been shown tonight.. and it is with a heavy heart that I say after 10 years on the show after next weeks episode I am taking a break from @towie ..
"I just cannot be on a show with my compulsive liar ex boyfriend trying to rewrite history and ruing my life as well as turning my friendship group against me.."
