Cara Kilbey has revealed that she has been hospitalised just weeks after requiring emergency surgery after suffering a ruptured ectopic pregnancy last month.
The 33-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star shared the heartbreaking news with her followers on Sunday after posting a pic from her her hospital bed.
The reality star detailed her recent medical emergencies on her Instagram Story, which included her emergency operation.
Cara wrote on the social media site: "I've been quiet on Instagram recently.
"Last month I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured and caused an internal bleed, so was rushed into theatre for an emergency op."
She continued: "Now I'm back again, but this time with kidney stones."
Cara managed to see to show that her sense of humour hasn't been knocked, joking: "Think I'm overdue a holiday."
The former TOWIE star has faced heartbreak previously as she suffered a miscarriage five months into her pregnancy in 2015.
There was joy for Cara in 2016, when she welcomed her first child, Penelope Blu, followed a year later by her son Hunter, with Daniel Harris.
Cara had shot to fame when she was introduced to the Essex based reality show in September 2011.
Her close friendship to Bill Mucklow, who was already starring in TOWIE, was the door that opened to make her name.
She stayed on the show for a couple of years before quitting in 2013.

They have been best friends since they were teens, and now Arg has admitted he needs his fitness fanatic mate more than ever.
Arg has been battling his weight for a long time which led to serious health concerns when he tipped the scales at over 27 stone due to lockdown.
He said that his increase in size was down to bingeing on fast food and the stress of overcoming an addiction battle.
Last month, the Essex native, 33, had a gastric band fitted to help him lose weight, and has already shed two and a half stone.
