TOWIE's Amy Childs explains sudden decision to change daughter's unique name

Amy Childs has opened up about why she decided to change her daughter's name as she prepares to welcome twins with her partner Billy Delbosq.

The 32-year-old TOWIE star first became a mum back in 2017 when she gave birth to Polly, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Bradley Wright.

Amy revealed she had her heart set on a different name, but realised her daughter didn't suit is after she gave birth.

"You’ve got to see the babies first to know. With Polly, I had an OK! shoot a few years ago and I said that the name was Polly, when I wanted it to be India.

"But the minute she came out I thought, 'She’s not an India, she’s a Polly'.

"Something just clicked, so anything can happen with the twins," Amy said in her latest column for OK! magazine.

The reality star said she's keeping her options open when it comes to naming her twins, but admitted that "there's a few names that we like".

Amy also said that her and Billy "keep going back to a certain one" but insisted she will be remaining tight lipped in case they "go off" the name before the twins arrive.

Amy announced her baby news back in October and has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy journey ever since.

Earlier this month, Amy recalled a terrifying experience during which she started to feel faint while at a restaurant and had to lay on the ground outside.

She spoke about the experience in one of her OK! magazine columns, recalling that she "took a really funny turn" whilst out at a restaurant in Essex with some of her family.

She said: "I've never fainted in my life, but this felt like I was going to pass out. I don't know whether the restaurant was too hot or I hadn't had enough water that day."

Amy said she felt like she "needed" to leave the restaurant. She continued: "Went outside to get some fresh air and then laid down on the freezing floor for about 10 minutes!"

She added that her blood pressure was "fine" at a midwife appointment the following day and suspected there may have been some "extreme movement" from one of the babies which "took away [her] energy".
