TOWIE cast left 'shaken and shocked' after Yazmin Oukhellou's horror car crash

The cast of The Only Way Is Essex are reportedly "shaken up and shocked" after co-star Yazmin Oukhellou was involved in a horror car accident in Turkey.

The reality star is currently in a stable condition and recovering in hospital after surgery, following a crash involving her boyfriend Jake McLean.

Yazmin, 28, is said to have pulled herself from the overturned car with a bleeding arm to try and get help, while Jake, 33, tragically died at the scene.

During the incident, the Mercedes car careered off the road as they went round a bend, plunging 30ft.

Now, it's reported the TOWIE cast are on hand to support Yaz throughout the difficult time.

It comes after the stars of the ITVbe reality series were left "in disbelief" following news of the tragedy.

A source told OK!: "Yaz was meant to be coming back to the show. The cast are sending their support and they will be around her when she’s home. They just want her home.

"You never expect something like this to happen. It just makes you realise you never know what is going to happen in life.”

Meanwhile, another insider claimed the show's stars are "massively shaken up and shocked" over the incident.

"All of her closest friends and family are there for her. It’s a hard time. At the moment, she’s not speaking to many people as she’s very unwell," the publication claims.

"Although the TOWIE lot bicker and fall out a lot of the time, when something serious like this happens, they are all really tight and come together.”

The Mirror has contacted TOWIE representatives for comment.

Meanwhile, it comes after a friend of Yazmin's allegedly spoke out on her condition.

According to the source, doctors were left amazed that the star had only suffered injuries to her arm during the crash.

"Doctors have told Yazmin that she is very, very lucky to have walked away from this," an insider told the MailOnline.

They added: "Yaz is unable to feel any sense of relief because her heart has been ripped in two over Jake's death. She still can't come to terms with what has happened."

The source added that Yazmin was "desperate" to return home to the UK.

Jake was driving at the time of the crash, with his mum, Anita Walsh, raising concerns the pair may have been arguing before the accident.

She told prosecutors investigating the crash that her son was a skilled driver who would not have lost control.

Prosecutors are also investigating whether Jake was drink-driving.

Jake and Yazmin reportedly began dating in May last year, before she shared a clip of them on Instagram in December, which showed them kissing.

They split a month later after he was apparently seen 'acting single' on holiday.

The pair were still thought to be separated when the crash happened, but is has since been reported the pair were in the "best place" with their on-off relationship.
